Former Pakistani Skipper Mohammad Hafeez is shocked and surprised over the Pakistan Cricket Board decision.
Former Pakistan cricket team captain Mohammad Hafeez has expressed his disappointment for being excluded from T20I and ODI squads.
Hafeez and Malik have both been axed from the limited-over squads as Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) looks to groom future stars at the expense of ‘aged players’.
Speaking about his exclusion, Hafeez claimed that he’s disappointed as well as shocked since his performances have been up to the mark.
Challenges are part of life but I am positive as always. I am never disappointed. I believe that I can keep on playing white-ball cricket for Pakistan.
When asked about his retirement plans, Hafeez said he is not ready to quit just yet as he believes he still has a couple of years in him.
I will always be available whenever I am deemed good enough and recalled to the side. I hope that Pakistan perform well against Australia, and whatever kids have been picked make the country proud.
In the last year, Mohammad Hafeez has remained a consistent performer for Pakistan. However, the issue with his bowling action is one reason why his selection is questioned. He averages over 35.50 in last 12 months.
