Judges to decide Faez Isa’s case: CJP

KARACHI: Chief Justice of Pakistan Asif Saeed Khosa on Sunday said the reference filed against Justice Qazi Faez Isa, a judge of the Supreme Court, was before courts and they would ensure justice in the matter.

The central equity, who is on a visit to the UK, was tending to the association of the Cambridge University.

He said that the setting up of model courts in the nation was an appreciated advance.

CJP Khosa was asked whether he would look for cash trail with respect to Justice Isa’s properties in London.

He said since the issue is under the steady gaze of courts nothing can be expressed here. The administration can’t evacuate Justice Isa in light of the fact that the issue is to be chosen by the Supreme Judicial Council. “You should confide in your judges, they would give equity,” he was cited by news TV channels as saying.

As indicated by an official statement issued by the Supreme Court on Saturday, CJP Khosa did his Tripos and LLM at the Uni­versity of Cambridge, before being called to the Bar at the Lincoln’s Inn, London.

He happens to be the main Pakistani to have been welcomed by the Cambridge University Union to convey a discourse in its history of 200 years.
